I don't like to get into conspiracy theories, but that theory of course occurred to me right from the beginning. I'd rather the answer be incompetence than deliberately setting up the circumstances to justify an all-out assault to take out Hamas, but at this point I think all possibilities have to be considered.

The reality, of course, is that it is not possible to totally destroy Hamas, and even if it were possible, another organization would form to take its place. Much like when we tried to wipe out the drug cartels in South America. They just fragmented into more organizations.

It's really unbelievable. No excuses. One israeli free hostage blamed their military did not protect them.

A friend of mine, a former army military, thinks israeli government allowed its borders open so finally they could have all reasons for a major attack on Hamas!

I can not believe Israel's decision makers would take such a crazy step by allowing the murdering of so many of their own to justify an overall attack on Hamas.

If proven true, this is indeed a crime against their own people!

Dear Frank,

I STILL can not understand how the israeli intelligence failed so much to watch and protect their borders. When you're surrounded by bloody enemies you need 24/7 surveillance and ready armed forças to act in emergency. They know it better than us so, my total disbelief...

Thanks Frank my friend for your usual great comprehensive real analysis of the world current facts and its consequences. Wish Democrats had not made such a stupid mistake during Obama's presidency. Saturday it caused Israel s 9/11 !

I just want to mention my surprise on Israel 's intelligence for such failure, one that could not and should NOT happen EVER.

Best wishes,
